Who Sang The Zack Attack Songs

Zack Attack: The Time Zack Morris Was An Egomaniacal Rock Star

What is Zack Attack?

Zack Attack is a five-piece band based in Palisades, California. Formed in 1991, the group comprises vocalist/guitarist Zack Morris, guitarist Kelly Kapowski, bassist A.C. Slater, drummer Screech Powers, and keyboardist Lisa Turtle.

The Egomaniacal Rock Star

In 1994, Zack Attack released their debut album, "Bayside High." The album was a commercial success, spawning the hit singles "Friends Forever" and "I'm So Excited." However, the band's success quickly went to Zack's head. He became increasingly arrogant and self-centered, alienating his bandmates and fans.

One of the most infamous examples of Zack's egomania occurred during a performance on the popular TV show "Saved by the Bell." Zack refused to let his bandmates sing, insisting on performing all the vocals himself. He also demanded that the show's producers give him a solo spot, during which he performed a self-penned song called "The Zack Attack Anthem." Zack's behavior eventually led to the breakup of the band. In 1996, Kelly, A.C., Screech, and Lisa announced that they were leaving Zack Attack. Zack was devastated, but he refused to give up his music career. He formed a new band, called "Zack Morris and the Bayside Boys," but the group never achieved the same level of success as Zack Attack.
